Judy Baar Topinka's son sues former chief of staff over funds

CHICAGO (WLS) -- There are new accusations of theft from the son of former Illinois Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka.

He's suing Nancy Kimme, a woman who worked on his mother's campaign. He says she took nearly $90,000 from the campaign for personal use.

Kimme is Topinka's former chief of staff. The lawsuit claims she took money from the committee's account after Topinka's death last year.

Kimme says some money that was taken was returned to the account, and that other cash was paid to campaign staffers.
