The city of Chicago is paying out millions to the family of a teenager killed while being chased by police.

Keith MacNiece died in 2009 after police chased him for 12 minutes after a stop sign violation.

On Friday, a jury awarded the family $2.75 million.

His family's attorneys said the chase was "unauthorized and prohibited" and reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.
