Jury duty pay increased in Illinois

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Starting Monday, jurors across the state will get paid a minimum of $25 dollars a day, and $50 for each additional day. In Cook County, that's nearly an $8 increase from $17.20.

While jury pay is going up, the number of jurors in civil jury cases in Illinois will go down from 12 to six jurors.
