CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of dogs are on the mend after being rescued from an alleged puppy mill in Kankakee. Twenty five animals arrived at the PAWS shelter in Chicago on Monday.
Last week, officials said the dogs were found living in deplorable conditions, covered in feces and urine at a dog-breeding operation.
PAWS will nurse the animals back to health before they head to foster homes. They'll eventually be put up for adoption.
