If frogs and pigs had claws, Miss Piggy's and Kermit the Frog's would have been out during their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday.

The two characters on ABC's new show The Muppets were quick to open up about what caused their highly publicized "break up" last month.

"It's the usual laundry list," Miss Piggy lamented. "Put the lid down, closing the refrigerator door. Not doing the dishes while taking a bath in the sink!"

Kermit didn't let Miss Piggy's jabs go unchallenged, coming back with some good one-liners. When Miss Piggy claimed that she is like the Donald Trump of love because everything she does is "huge," Kermit replied, "And therein lies some of the problem."

They both elaborated on their post break-up life. Kermit described his new girlfriend, Denise as "not a public person." Miss Piggy, meanwhile, talked about her desire to be on The Bachelorette, and Kimmel told her they created a Tinder profile for the famous pig. When they got to what she looks for in a man, she of course got in a dig at Kermit.

"I do have high standards, I do," she said. "I have a rigorous application process before anyone can date me. I wish I had those in place when I met you."

Kimmel diffused the tension by changing the topic to their show, which follows behind-the-scenes as your favorite characters produce Miss Piggy's talk show.

"I basically do whatever it is you do here, only better and in high heels," Miss Piggy told Kimmel of her show-within-the-show.

This seemed to be something the former couple could finally agree on, as Kermit laughed.

"You know, when she hits it she hits it," he said.

Tune in to the premiere of The Muppets Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET | 7 p.m. CT.
