Crystal Lake to host 35th annual Lakeside Festival
Crystal Lake is hosting its 35th annual Lakeside Festival.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Summer means there are a lot of festival happening. Especially on the Independence Day holiday weekend, thousands are getting together at events for fun and fireworks.

One of the bigger events in the Chicago area is the Lakeside Festival in Crystal Lake. Siobhan Cottone, executive director, and Ronald W. Russell, fest chair, joined us live from the festival grounds during our ABC 7 Eyewitness News Sunday Morning to tell us about all the things you can experience at the event.

35th Annual Lakeside Festival

Friday, July 4th: Noon-11 p.m.

Saturday, July 5th: Noon-11 p.m.

Sunday, July 6th: Noon-10 p.m.

Admission:

Gate Charge: $5

Kids 12 and under are free

Seniors 65 and older: $2

Sunday: Fireworks on the Lake at dusk
