CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 16 people have been shot, two fatally, in gun violence across Chicago so far this weekend, police said.

Man shot in SW Side drive-by shooting

A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Brighton Park, according to CPD.

The shooting happened on Sunday at about 9:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of W. 40th Street.

A 43-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when a red SUV pulled up and started firing gunshots at the victim and proceeded to flee the scene.

The victim had two gunshot wounds to the buttocks.

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

There is no one in custody and Area One Detectives are investigating.

Man shot in Albany Park, Chicago police say

A man is recovering after being shot on the city's Northwest Side, according to CPD.

The shooting happened on Sunday as the 42-year-old victim was walking in the 4700-block of N. Drake Avenue at about 6:08 p.m.

He was shot in the buttocks by an unknown offender.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

CPD Area Five Detectives are investigating.

Teen among injured in Fulton River District shooting, police say

Two people were shot on Sunday in downtown, according to Chicago police.

The shooting happened near Milwaukee Avenue and Kinzie Street in the Fulton River District neighborhood.

An 18-year-old man said he was in a car when he heard shots fired and felt pain.

Chicago police said he was shot multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

A second victim, 17, showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He said he was walking out of a music studio when four offenders approached, two of them armed, and they started to shoot at him.

The 17-year-old victim is expected to be okay.

There is no one in custody. CPD Area Three Detectives are investigating.

Man ID'd in deadly Wrightwood shooting: police

A man has died after being shot on Sunday, police said.

The shooting happened at about 12:40 a.m. on Sunday in the 2800-block of West 83rd Street, police said.

The shooting happened at about 12:40 a.m. in the 2800 block of W. 83rd Street, according to Chicago police.

A witness found a 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said.

The victim was treated by Chicago firefighters; however, the man died.

The medical examiner later identified the man as Darius Watson of Chicago.
