CHICAGO (WLS) -- Liz Dozier, the principal of Fenger High School on the city's South Side, has resigned, CPS officials announced Thursday.
It's unclear why she's leaving.
"We thank Liz Dozier for more than a decade of service to the District and to the students of Christian Fenger High School," said CPS CEO Jesse Ruiz in the statement. "Her leadership has helped to shift the culture at Fenger during some of the school's most critical times, and her commitment to community engagement and improving student outcomes is admirable. While she will be sorely missed, we wish Liz well in her future endeavors."
Dozier, along with Fenger High School, were featured in CNN's 2014 documentary series "Chicagoland".
