Lockdown lifted at Tinley Park High School after threat

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- The soft lockdown on Tinley Park High School has been lifted as of 12:30 p.m., village officials said.

Officials said they were contacted by school administrators Friday morning about an outside threat. They then contacted the police.

An investigation is ongoing. Police do not believe there is a threat to the community.

No further details about the threat or how it was made have been released.
