Loyola University issues alert after student groped on campus

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Loyola University has sent out an alert to students after one of them was groped while walking near Simpson Hall.

Loyola campus safety officials said the woman was attacked last Wednesday just before 1 a.m. in the 6300-block of North Winthrop on Chicago's Far North Side.

A man on a bicycle attacked the student from behind. The student was able to break free and alert campus safety.

Campus safety officials described the suspect as a male between the ages of 20 to 25, approximately 5'7," and 160 pounds. He is reported as having medium-length black hair and a black beard and was last seen wearing a black headband, t-shirt (color unknown), cargo shorts (color unknown), and a black and gray backpack. He was riding a light gray bike.
