MALDEF holds annual Chicago awards gala

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Latino civil rights organization MALDEF held its annual Chicago awards gala Thursday night in Chicago.

It paid tribute to several people for their work advancing justice for Latinos.

Eyewitness News reporter Michelle Gallardo was the emcee for the event.
