GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A man was injured in the leg after a shooting in Gary, police said.
Police say they discovered the man in the 300-block of Van Buren Street around 12:11 a.m. Saturday. He suffered a single gunshot wound to the right calf and was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The man did not have a description of the shooter and told authorities that he heard shots in the area when he discovered he had been hit, police said.
No other details have been released.
