US Sen. Mark Kirk to run for re-election in 2016

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Republican U.S. Senator Mark Kirk says he plans to run for re-election in 2016.

He said Wednesday he's already raised a couple million dollars for his campaign.

Kirk was first elected to the Senate in November 2010. He suffered a stroke in 2012.
