Maxwell Street Market kicks off season Sunday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Maxwell Street Market kicked off its summer season on a chilly and cloudy Sunday.

Families gathered in the South Loop to dine on authentic Mexican food and check out the vendors.

The market sells everything from plants, to clothing, to furniture.

The Maxwell Street Market has been around for about 100 years and is open Sundays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
