CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men were shot outside a McDonald's in Chicago's West Elsdon neighborhood, near Midway Airport.
Police said the two men, ages 19 and 26, were in waiting at the drive-thru window of the fast food restaurant in the 5200-block of South Pulaski Road around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
That's when someone walked up to the vehicle and opened fire. The younger victim was shot in the right hip. The older victim was shot in the right hand, right shoulder and neck.
They were able to drive to the parking lot of a convenience store near 59th Street and Pulaski, where they called police.
The men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions stabilized.
Investigators are looking into whether the shooting was gang-related. A police source said the 26-year-old victim is a known gang member.
