Melissa McCarthy gets hand, footprints on Hollywood Blvd

LOS ANGELES (WLS) -- Local girl Melissa McCarthy got a big honor in Hollywood.

McCarthy has her footprints and handprints immortalized in front of the famous Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. McCarthy had fun with all of the photographers while placing her hands and feet in wet cement.

McCarthy was born in Plainfield, Illinois and went to school in south suburban Joliet. She is also the cousin of former "The View" co-host Jenny McCarthy.
