Metra Heritage Corridor train stopped due to mechanical failure

SUMMIT, Ill. (WLS) -- An outbound train on the Metra Heritage Corridor line is stopped near Summit due to a mechanical failure, officials said.

The stopped train, #919, was scheduled to arrive into Joliet at 6:30 p.m. Metra said train #921, scheduled to arrive in Joliet at 7:17 p.m., will tie onto train #919 to assist into Joliet.

Metra urges riders to listen to platform announcements for the location of this train.
