Metra adds split payment feature to online ticketing

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Metra says it is adding more online ticket options through its website.

Metra officials say that if you buy tickets through its website, you now have the option to split your payments among credit and debit cards. That includes pre-tax transit benefit debit cards.

Metra says the new option lets passengers take advantage of transit benefit programs with the convenience of buying tickets online.

Fifty-two percent of Metra customers buy their tickets using pre-tax or employer-paid benefit programs.
