GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WLS) -- Storm clean-up is underway in Michigan after six tornadoes hit the state.
Between roughly noon and 3 p.m. CST Saturday, the system moved through the greater Grand Rapids area, hitting the counties of Allegan, Van Buren, Ottawa, Kent and Ionia. The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 twister hit near Grand Rapids Saturday.
Wind speeds hit 90 miles an hour, toppling trees onto cars and homes. No injuries were reported.
Travelers at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids took shelter during the storm, making for some scary moments.
No reports of serious injuries.
