100 flights canceled at Midway Airport due to weather

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Department of Aviation said 100 flights were canceled at Midway International Airport Monday morning due to rain and fog.

There were areas of fog in the Chicago area Monday morning and rain lingered during the morning commute. ABC7 Meteorologist Tracy Butler said skies will be cloudy Monday afternoon and high temperatures are expected to reach the 50s.

Around 7 p.m. Sunday, Southwest Airlines canceled all flights in and out of Midway through 9 a.m. Monday. In all, 50 flights were affected.
