Missing girl, 14, found safe in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (WLS) -- The 14-year-old girl who was missing from west suburban St. Charles for nearly a week was found safe on Tuesday.

Police found Emily Czajkowski at a friend's house in St. Charles around 7:45 a.m.

They said the mother of Emily's friend contacted police after she found the teen inside her home with her son.

She was reported missing after she failed to show up for a dance class at Pottawatomie Community Center on July 22.

Emily was reunited with her parents on Tuesday.
