Mood has no effect on life expectancy, study says

Your mood has no apparent effect on how long you'll live, according to a new study.

Past research has linked happiness to longevity but researchers have now found there's no scientific connection. The results are based on questionnaires from more than 700,000 British women.

The study is published online in the Medical Journal Lancet.
