Chicago ranks No. 2 on list of worst mosquito cities, Orkin says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new list puts Chicago near the top of a list of cities with a mosquito problem.

Pest control company Orkin ranked Chicago second in the country, just behind Atlanta, based it on the number of customers it serviced last year. Washington D.C., Detroit and Houston round out the top five.

Mosquitoes are more than just a nuisance. They can pose serious health risks, like West Nile virus.
