NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Petland manager Carl Swanson said two people who stole a puppy from his Naperville store are cooperating with Naperville police to locate the dog after they abandoned her in Aurora.
The 12-week-old Pomeranian puppy named Bella was stolen from the store on Route 59 Sunday afternoon by a man and a woman, police said.
Swanson said Aurora police gave a tip to Naperville police Thursday morning, leading to the search effort. They believe the thieves abandoned Bella in a yard in Aurora.
No charges have been filed.
Swanson told police when reporting the theft that he's worried about the dog's well-being and health. Because she is so young, she hasn't had all her vaccinations.
