WINNETKA, Ill. (WLS) -- More than 40 current and former employees at New Trier High School may have become the victims of identity theft.
The school has hired an outside firm to investigate the matter. Some former employees have said credit cards, cell phone accounts and even attempts to file tax returns have been made under their names.
All affected employees are members of the teachers' retirement system.
The school is asking local and state law enforcement authorities for help with the investigation.
