Pizzeria offers safe alternative to 'Tide Pods'

BROOKLYN -- A Brooklyn pizza place is offering a safer alternative to a new and dangerous viral trend.

Vinnie's Pizzeria is now offering "Pied Pods" in response to the "Tide Pod" challenge.

The dangerous viral trend shows people eating laundry detergent pods while recording it.

Vinnie's will now offer pizza rolls stuffed with cheese and pepperoni topped with dyed cheese to resemble the detergent pods.

The pizzeria said the Pied Pods have the "bright, alluring colors that youths crave," but are not poison.

Proctor and Gamble, which owns Tide, recently launched a campaign to warn people away from eating detergent pods.
