McDonald's worker fired for writing 'chino' on coffee cup

An Eyewitness News viewer sent us this photo from the McDonald's at Kedzie and Foster on the city's Northwest Side.

A Chicago McDonald's worker is out of a job because of what was written on a coffee cup.

An Eyewitness News viewer sent us a photo from the McDonald's at Kedzie and Foster on the city's Northwest Side.

The word "chino" - a Spanish slang term for Asian - was written on the cup, along with a drawing of a face. The customer who ordered the coffee is Korean.

McDonald's said it has fired the employee.
