CHICAGO (WLS) -- The CTA's new Loop Link service launched Sunday in an attempt to make it easier to get around downtown.

The busses run on the new red, bus only-lanes along Madison, Washington, Clinton, and Canal.

They connect the west loop and Metra stations with Michigan Avenue.

The city hopes this will cut-down on traffic congestion and make things safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

Seven of the eight stations opened Sunday.

The final one near Washington and Wabash is scheduled to open in the spring.
