CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say Maricela Villegas, 35, was stabbed to death in Bridgeport Saturday evening. Police say a suspect is in custody for the stabbing, but have not identified him.
Police say Villegas was stabbed in the neck during a domestic dispute in the 2800-block of South Short Street just before 6 p.m. A neighbor said she then stumbled to their home, looking for help, before collapsing on their sofa. She was transported to Stroger Hospital where she later died.
Police say the attacker was arrested at the time of the stabbing. Charges are pending.
