CHICAGO (WLS) -- One man was killed and three other people injured after a crash involving a CTA bus on the South Side Friday night.
A Nissan SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed north on King Drive at 59th Street when it collided with the bus at about 11:35 p.m., police said.
The driver of the Nissan, 35-year-old Stewart Hamilton, died from his injuries at Stroger Hospital.
The 47-year-old man driving the bus was hospitalized in stable condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. One passenger was also transported to Northwestern in stable condition and another passenger was transported to University of Chicago Hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, police said. King Drive was closed for three hours while police investigated.
