CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago travel agent Rashid Minhas was convicted of fraud late Tuesday in federal court.
Four years ago the ABC7 I-Team uncovered a scheme in which Minhas had kept traveler's payments for pilgrimages to Mecca, even though the trips were canceled.
"We lost $9,000 and we worked hard for it," said victim Tabasum Manzoor.
Prosecutors say Minhas continued his scheme while out on bond and now faces a second set of new federal charges. He is currently being held at the MCC.
