CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of mourners gathered Wednesday to say goodbye to a prominent Assyrian church leader.
Mar Dinkha IV led the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East for almost 40 years. He passed away from a virus infection at the age of 79.
The memorial was held at St. George's Church in Rogers Park. Catholic Archbishop Blase Cupich was in attendance.
