Naperville's 'Safety Town' dedicated to former mayor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Former Naperville Mayor George Pradel received a big honor Sunday in the west suburb.

"Safety Town," a place that helps the city's children learn about safety was dedicated and renamed for the outgoing mayor and his wife.

Before Pradel served five terms as mayor, he worked in the city's police department for nearly 30 years and was known as "officer friendly."
