TINLEY PARK, Ill. -- Four people - two of whom jumped out the second-story window - escaped from an early-morning house fire in south suburban Tinley Park.
Crews arrived to find flames shooting from the roof of the home, located in the 7600-block of West 160th Place around 3 a.m. Friday.
Officials said several pets also escaped the fire.
Two of the escapees were hospitalized and are recovering.
Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
