Elgin police hope video will lead them to murder suspect

ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- Newly-recovered surveillance video is giving Elgin police new hope in cracking a cold case.

Detectives are looking for the person seen in the video walking near Prairie and Grove overnight on April 18. Police said the video was recorded around the same time 20-year-old Daniel Figueroa was shot and killed.

Figueroa's family is offering a $2,500 reward for an arrest and prosecution in this case.
