CHICAGO (WLS) -- A former Chicago high school basketball coach was found not guilty of charges he sexually assaulted one female student and tried to assault another.

Kevin Jones worked at Epic Academy Charter High School at the time of the alleged incidents in late 2012 and early 2013. He was the varsity boys' basketball coach. The students were both 17 years old.

"My name has been tarnished, my reputation's been drawn through the mud and things like that, it's been hard, not being with my family for six months, sitting in the county jail for something you didn't do," said Jones.

During the trial, Jones denied the charges. His lawyer argued that the alleged assault victim made inconsistent statements and there was no physical evidence of an attack.
