PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- Albert Galus, of Park Ridge, faces child pornography charges after police say he allegedly had more than 1,000 images of child porn on his home computer.

Galus, 47, was arrested Tuesday after an investigation that began in December 2011. Police say a technician allegedly found video of child pornography while repairing his computer and contacted authorities. Galus is a former tutor for middle school and high school students.

He faces 16 counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and is being held on $100,000 bond.
