Lawn chair pilot Daniel Boria of Calgary, Alberta tied about 110 helium-filled balloons to a $10 green plastic lawn chair purchased at a local Walmart, according to CBCNews. Boria, a skydiver, planned to parachute from his makeshift aircraft into the Calgary Stampede, an annual rodeo event, to draw attention to his company.
But the weather on Sunday wasn't cooperating, and Boria landed uninjured in an industrial field about a mile away from his target.
The lawn chair and balloons are still floating somewhere in the sky.
"We're in the midst of tracking that down," said Boria's friend Conner Shauf.
Boria was released Monday morning. He's been charged with one count of mischief causing danger to life and one count for mischief to property under $5,000.
