Chicago police warn taxi, delivery drivers of armed robberies in North Lawndale

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Armed thieves are targeting taxi drivers and food delivery drivers on the West Side of Chicago, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

Two robberies took place in 1300-block of S. Keeler in the North Lawndale neighborhood on Monday. Police said the same man armed with a gun demanded money from two different taxi drivers.

Also on Monday in the same 1300-block of S. Keeler, police said men armed with either a gun or a knife robbed food delivery drivers in four separate incidents over a three hour time span.
