CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police say a young carjacker targeted a woman in Lincoln Park in broad daylight.
The victim said she had just parked her Ford Escape on Dickens Avenue at about 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
The woman started walking down Halsted Street when she heard footsteps and a boy of about 14- or 15-years-old came up to her from behind.
"That's when he grabbed my hand, or grabbed my wrist, pulled it back was able to grab the car key and then he ran," said the victim.
The boy got into her parked car and drove it away.
The woman has a bruise on her wrist but no serious injuries.
