Restaurant robbed at knifepoint on Near West Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Police are also investigating an armed robbery on the Near West Side Monday afternoon.

Investigators say a man walked into a Subway restaurant around 1 p.m. Monday in the 1500-block of West Madison with a knife, held up the store, and took off with cash.

No one was hurt.

This latest case follows four recent robberies around Chicago where the thief used a knife.
