Reward offered for info in shooting death of Chicago Heights man

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- The family of a Chicago Heights man shot to death in his home hope a reward will lead to his killer.

Juan Ortiz, 44, was gunned down eight days ago in his kitchen while washing dishes.

Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. It's not clear if Ortiz was the target of the shooting.

On Saturday, family and friends will distribute flyers in Chicago Heights asking for help in the investigation.
