Riverdale shooting injures 2, police say

RIVERDALE, Ill. (WLS) -- Two men were injured in an early-morning shooting in Riverdale, police said, although they believe the alleged gunman is in custody.

The shooting happened near 142nd and Tracy just after 4:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The two victims, a 61-year-old and 19-year-old, were taken to Christ Hospital where they are in stable condition.

Investigators say they looked for evidence around an SUV and inside a nearby home.

The person in custody has not been charged.
