Woman hospitalized in critical condition after Orland Park fire

ORLAND PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition after a fire in suburban Orland Park.

Firefighters were responding to a call for smoke coming from a house and found the woman on a bed in the back of the home.

They also removed a dog from the house, which was taken to an emergency vet.

Firefighters on the scene are trying to determine the cause.
