Woman shot near Shields Elementary School in Brighton Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was wounded in a shooting in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side.

Police said the woman was shot in the stomach around 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 4300-block of S. Talman, about a half-block south of Shields Elementary School.

The victim was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital. Information on her condition was not immediately available.
