Boy, 16, killed in Old Town shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teen was fatally shot in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood on Thursday night.

Police said a 16-year-old boy was shot several times in the back shortly after 9 p.m. in the parking lot of the Evergreen Terrace Apartments in the 1300-block of North Cleveland.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A police officer was also injured when he shot himself in the foot while responding to the incident.
