Elderly woman dies in Palatine house fire

PALATINE, Ill. (WLS) -- Fire officials said an elderly woman died in a house fire in northwest suburban Palatine Thursday evening.

Officials said the woman lived in the home with her adult son, who was expected to be okay.

The Palatine Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
