2 people hit by car in Palatine

PALATINE, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people are in the hospital after a car hit them in northwest suburban Palatine.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. Monday at Northwest Highway and Smith Street near a bike path, officials said. The driver stopped at the scene.

Both victims went to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. No information was immediately available on their conditions.
