CHICAGO (WLS) -- This November, go purple to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. The disease is one of the deadliest forms of cancer and causes more deaths in the United States than breast cancer. Despite that fact, many people are unaware of the disease and funding is severely behind other causes. Supporters hope advocacy and funding will spur innovative treatments to defeat pancreatic cancer.
Frank DeSeno and Jill Peet Saponaro from the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network sat down with Eyewitness News to talk about the disease.
