12 hospitalized in pepper spray incident at Lincoln Square school

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Twelve students were hospitalized Thursday when pepper spray discharged at an elementary school on the Northwest Side, fire officials said.

The incident happened at about 2 p.m. at the Lyman Budlong Elementary School in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.

The students were transported in good condition to Swedish Covenant Hospital, Weiss Hospital and St. Francis Hospital.
